I tried to pull up the site earlier, it wouldn't load so unless the website was down today just with me having bad luck then my guess is it's probably gone bye bye.

ok, skimmed through this whole thing and no one said what WOTC is. If I have to ask, you know it's not a very well known or played game.

Are you serious?

Just because you, a single person in a world of billions, hasn't heard of a game, doesn't mean it's not well known. It's like saying you've never heard of (insert something well known here), so it's not well known. That is unless you're the person assigned to tell people what's well known or not, which you are not.

Looks like ArenaNet is playing muscial chairs over there. First Gaile switches to a new position, then Andrew, then we get Regina and now Mike leaves. I wonder who is next lol. I never knew Mike Gillis but I wish him the best of luck.

Wizards of the Coast. I'm sure you do not know of any of their games. Things like Dungeons and Dragons and Magic:The Gathering are little known niche games that no self respecting RPG gamer will have ever heard of (along with Maple Story and Axis and Allies amongst others).

Being the all knowing God of Gamers the fact that you do not know of them (or I suppose their games) means no RPG player has ever heard - or even *gasp* played them.

Er, or maybe that is like being confused what "GW" means on this board.

A little late. He left Anet last year!
Shouldn't this news-necrophilia / MtG-bashing thread be moved to off topic or get closed?

I haven't heard of this country called the United States until today. It must be one of those random countries in the middle of the Arctic Ocean.

On a side note, it's r u srs?

Lol there was a thread in Offtopic about it, like 2 or 3 weeks ago Fury died. But not that many people cared anyway, the game had huge potential, but devs screwed up.

Not too disappointing to me. I didn't have such a great experience dealing with him.

Indeed. He went from Tournament Manager to Marketing, and shortly afterwards left for WoTC. My take on this was that a Tournament Manager was no longer needed after ATs were introduced so he was shuffed internally, was uncomfortable in his new position and moved on.

Reading this thread makes me so glad I got out of M:TG when it was still a fun to play game. That was 10 years ago.

Must be personal preference...I left when WOTC was pumping out expansions every other month, the card pool got so diluted, new gimmicks started coming out and the DC started affecting even my friendly games at the local comic shop by making their rules so hardcore that casual players felt required to adhere to them. It went, in my mind, from a good game to a competitor's sport where people play to win rather than have fun.
